Oscar drove his brand new Mercedes to his favorite sporting goods store. He parked it outside and went in to do a little perusing with Jan, his regular sales woman. Jan was a pretty blonde, and as Oscar walked into the store, she happily greeted him. But he requested to look around alone today before he needed her help. She obliged him and let him do his thing.
Five minutes later, Jan came running up to him yelling, “Oscar! Oscar! I just saw someone driving off with your new Mercedes!”
“Dear God! Did you try to stop him?”
“No,” she said, “I did better than that! I got the license plate number!”

Central Varsity Soccer is taking it this year.

Wednesday Night was the last game of the season for the varsity boys and they knew it wasnt going to be any easy task when they went against the undefeated Staples soccer team. But Central was lead by its star striker, one of the best in state right now, Reco McLaren.

So I’ve decided to show you what was in the paper this morning on Central Soccer.

Bridgeport–Reco McLaren scored a pair of first-half goals and the Central defense made them stand up in a 2-0 FCIAC win over Staples Wednesday at Kennedy Stadium.

The victory improved the Hilltoppers’ record to 10-2-3, while Staples dropped to 14-2. It was also the first loss in league play for Staples (14-1).

“The kids have been working hard all season long and they’re finding their groove right now,” Central coach Jay Silverman said.

Mario Peciret had eight saves in goal for Central.

By the way, Mathew Monteiro, is my older brother and hes an outstanding soccer defender and won all FCIAC west 2 years straight and was the captain of this team for 3 years.
